Magic Color Stories ("the app") is a coloring storybook game made for young children. We care about children's privacy. We do not collect personal information ourselves. The app shows child-safe ads through Google AdMob, as described below.
Information we collect
We collect none. The app:
- does not ask for names, email addresses, photos, location, contacts or any other personal information
- has no user accounts, sign-in, chat or social features
- contains no analytics or tracking tools of our own
- requests no device permissions (camera, microphone, location, storage or others), apart from internet access for ads and the Play Store
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The free version shows occasional full-screen ads only between story pages, never while a child is coloring, and no more than about once every few minutes. Ads are provided by Google AdMob, a Google Play Families-certified ad network, and are requested with:
- child-directed treatment and under-age-of-consent treatment turned on
- maximum ad content rating G (general audiences)
- non-personalized ads only: no interest-based advertising and no remarketing
- no advertising ID: the app removes the Android advertising ID permission
To deliver ads, limit how often they appear and prevent fraud, Google may process limited technical information, such as the device's IP address (used for approximate location), device and app information, and ad interactions. Google handles this information under its own policies: https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
In-app purchase
Parents can buy a one-time "Remove ads" option from the settings, which are behind a parental gate. Payments are processed entirely by Google Play; we never receive payment or card details. The purchase is restored automatically through Google Play when the app is reinstalled.
Information stored on the device
To let your child continue where they left off, the app saves the following only on the device:
- the pictures your child colors
- game progress (finished pages and stickers)
- sound settings (music, sound effects and narration on or off)
This information never leaves the device, and we cannot see it. You can delete it at any time:
- from the app's grown-up settings (behind a parental gate), using "Reset all progress and art"
- by deleting single pictures in the "My Art" gallery
- by uninstalling the app
Children's privacy
The app is designed for children aged 3 to 7. It complies with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, including its rules for children's data) and Google Play's Families Policy. We do not collect, sell or disclose children's personal information. Ads are served only with Google's child-directed settings described above.
Settings and deleting artwork are protected by a simple parental gate so that young children don't change them by accident.
Third parties
The only third-party services are Google AdMob (ads) and Google Play Billing (the "Remove ads" purchase). All artwork, music and narration are bundled inside the app.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change how the app handles information, we will update this policy and change the effective date above before the change takes effect.
