Privacy Policy: Kids Cooking: Little Chefs

Kids Cooking: Little Chefs ("the app") is a cooking game made for children aged 2 to 5. We care about children's privacy. We do not collect personal information ourselves. The app shows child-safe ads through Google AdMob, as described below.
Information we collect
We collect none. The app:
- does not ask for names, email addresses, photos, voice recordings, location, contacts or any other personal information
- has no user accounts, sign-in, chat, social links or user-generated content
- contains no analytics or tracking tools of our own and does not upload recipe progress
- requests no camera, microphone, contacts or location permissions, only internet access for ads and the Play Store
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The free version shows an occasional full-screen ad only after a dish has been served, when choosing to cook again or make another dish. Ads never appear while a child is cooking. Ads are provided by Google AdMob and are requested with:
- child-directed treatment turned on
- maximum ad content rating G (general audiences)
- non-personalized ads only: no interest-based advertising and no remarketing
- no advertising ID: the app removes the Android advertising ID and Privacy Sandbox advertising permissions
Removing the advertising ID does not mean the advertising SDK collects no data. To deliver ads, measure performance and prevent fraud, Google may process limited technical information, such as the device's IP address (which can indicate approximate location), ad interactions, app and SDK diagnostics, and applicable device identifiers. Google handles this information under its own policies: Google's AdMob data disclosure and https://policies.google.com/privacy. We do not sell recipe progress or build a profile of any child.
In-app purchase
Parents can buy a one-time "Remove ads" option, or restore it, in the Parent space, which is behind a grown-up check. Payments are processed entirely by Google Play; we never receive payment or card details. Purchase information supplied by Google Play is used only to turn on and restore the purchase. After ads are removed, the app stops requesting ads on that device.
Information stored on the device
So your child can continue where they left off, the app saves the following only on the device:
- recipe progress: collected recipe stickers and unfinished recipe checkpoints
- "Make anything" dishes: chosen ingredients and how they were washed, chopped, cooked or blended
- settings: music and sounds, music volume, spoken instructions and gentler motion
- whether "Remove ads" has been purchased
This information never leaves the device, and we cannot see it. You can delete progress at any time:
- from the Parent space (behind a grown-up check), using "Reset recipe progress", which clears recipe and sandbox progress while keeping sound settings and the purchase
- by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app
Children's privacy
Little Chefs is designed for children aged 2 to 5. It is built to comply with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, including its rules for children's data) and Google Play's Families Policy. We do not collect, sell or disclose children's personal information. Ads are served only with the child-directed settings described above.
Settings, purchases and resetting progress are protected by a simple grown-up check, so young children don't change them by accident.
Third parties
The only third-party services in the installed app are Google AdMob (ads) and Google Play Billing (the "Remove ads" purchase). All cooking content, artwork, music and narration are bundled inside the app and work offline. Artwork was created with design tools during development; those tools are never contacted by the app.
Data retention
Progress stays on the device until it is reset or the app's data is cleared. For data processed by Google, see Google's policies linked above.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change how the app handles information, we will update this policy and change the effective date above before the change takes effect.
